I saw a great public service announcement on the Disney Channel this evening starring Phneas and Ferb. They provided some great tips for kids to consider regarding internet safety and, well, common sense. I went to the site they recommended and learned that Disney has teamed with Common Sense Media to provide a series of video and learning activities to educate children about online safety.
(Sidebar comment: Common Sense Media is a terrific place to go if you want to find out the degree of offensive content in a movie before you view it or show it to your students and/or children. It rates movies in several categories including violence, drugs and alcohol use, language and even commercial product placement. It’s sort of surprising they would partner with Disney on a PSA due to future conflict of interests on reviews.)
Use the Common Sense materials as a jumping off point for discussing internet safety with your students.

Is there a way to access the old Phineas and Ferb video about internet safety? Thank you! Cathey
That top link is the only Phineas and Fern online safety video I have ever come across…
